The Five Elements
An Element project is divided into five questions that we have identified as the most important to ask in order to find direction and purpose. These are:
Element runs arts projects that challenge you to explore your own motivation, purpose and creativity. If you’re interested in finding out more about yourself, what makes you tick and what tools you can use to get to where you want to be, an Element project might just be the one for you.
We use spoken word, photography, painting, crafting, creative writing and performance art as a tool for self-expression and self-discovery. We believe that everyone is an artist. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before, or performed a line of poetry in your life, giving it a go can unlock a mountain of creativity that you may not know you even had.
By the end of the project, you’ll have a portfolio of artwork exhibited at a world-famous art gallery, like Tate Britain, the V&A Museum, and the Saatchi Gallery.
How Does It Work?
Coaches: You will be assigned either Elo or Alex as your 'Coach': someone you can organise meetings with to talk about opportunities and future goals. We can problem-solve, provide information, and act as a sounding board for your creative ideas
Tickets: We have partnerships with major cultural institutions - like the Tate, Soho Theatre and the National Theatre. We get free tickets for Element participants to see new shows and exhibitions
Food: We love food, and know how important it is to fuel creativity. There is a delicious hot meal at every Element session.
